Absences
When your child is absent, please send a note containing your
child's full name, the date(s) of the absence(s), a valid reason,
and your signature.
Birthdays
You may send in treats that are easily distributed (i.e.
cupcakes, cookies, muffins, etc) and purchased from a store (not
made at home). If napkins, cups or utensils are needed, please
supply these as well. Plan on 22 children at this time.
Homework
Assigned Monday-Thursday and will be written in the agenda book.
Volunteers
If you would like to volunteer in the classroom or for field
trips, you must register with PALs at the front office. This
process takes 4-6 weeks, so please plan to register early in the
year!! You must re-register every year!!
Lunch money
Send lunch money to the before school lunch window in a sealed
envelope labeled with your child's name, pin number and the
amount.
Medications
All medications must be taken to the clinic. No medications may
be kept in your child's backpack. This includes cough drops and
inhalers!!
E-mail
Using my email address is the easiest way to contact me. I check
it multiple times throughout the day:
kristy_nichols@sarasota.k12.fl.us
Clothing
Please dress appropriately for the weather. No hats, flip flops,
shirts with spaghetti straps or shirts that show the stomach.
Students must wear tennis shoes as we have either PE, fitness or
recess each day.
Snack
Students may bring in a daily snack.
Tests
Most of our testing is done on Thursday of each week. This is an
important day so it would be helpful for your child to be in
class on that day.
AR
4th graders are required to have 18 points per grading period.
Weekly Report
Sent home every Friday. This will provide you with your child's
grades, behavior and work/study habits. Please review and sign
it to be returned to me on Monday.
