Weekly Report
The Weekly Report plays a vital role towards ensuring open parent and teacher communication. Please be certain to review it on Fridays, sign it, and return it on Mondays. This report will keep you abreast of grades, behavior, AR progress, and work/study habits. Check marks on the Weekly Report will indicate areas in which your child can improve and will be recorded as part of the Work Habits grade. The best Weekly Report will have no checks.

Birthdays - Mrs. Powell's Class
Feel free to send in simple treats for your child's birthday. Cupcakes, brownies, packaged treats, and cookies are great because they do not require cutting. Be sure to follow the baked goods guidelines listed in the handbook as I do not enjoy telling children they must bring their delicious home-baked goodies back home.
Birthdays - Ms. Atkinson's Class
Birthdays are a joyous occasion! In order that all of our students have an opportunity to celebrate without too much disruption of academic time, our class will have a monthly Birthday Bash. These will normally take place at the end of the designated day. A letter explaining Birthday Bashes as well as a calendar of those days will be sent home.
Snacks
Students are welcome to bring a nutritious snack each day to be enjoyed while we continue working. Each child is responsible for his or her own snack. Students may also bring bottled water to have at their desk as needed throughout the day.
Hand Sanitizer
Students are welcome to keep small, pocket-size hand sanitizers in their desk for personal use. Large, pump-style bottles will be provided in the classroom.
