Dear families,
The holiday months are fast approaching! We have been busy enjoying
many fun activities related to studies on our community, country, and
citizenship. In Science, the children enjoyed reading non-fiction books and
writing about both spiders and bats. They are 2 very interesting
creatures! Have your child share some of the fascinating facts learned.
The month of November is filled with many activities. We will have a
school-wide Veteran's Day celebration on Tuesday, November 10th. On
Friday, November 13th, we will perform a Thanksgiving play with the children
in Mrs. Pedro’s class. We have been preparing the children for this special
event. Your child will bring home a letter about our Storybook Thanksgiving
Play on November 9th.
Then, on Friday, November 20th, we will celebrate The First Thanksgiving
together. The children will choose to come dressed as either a Native
American or Pilgrim. You will soon receive a letter with your child's choice
of dress as well as information about our feast (donations, help, etc.).
Please continue to practice addition and subtraction of numbers as well
as reading at home.
Thank you for all you do for your child and our classroom!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Chagnon
