About The Teacher
I am so thrilled to be a member of the Lamarque team! I look forward to another successful year of students focusing on PRIDE, PURPOSE and PERFORMANCE. My professional education was through the University of South Florida. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Reading Education. I have attended many workshops and professional development seminars and am Nationally Board Certified. I have been teaching first grade for twelve years. I enjoy teaching first grade for many reasons. The children are so eager to learn, and they make new discoveries every day. It is exciting to watch my students grow and develop over the school year, both individually and as a learning community. I love to read, and I hope to instill a love of reading into the children in my class. I strive to make learning fun and discovery oriented.
