Mrs. Pikula's 1st Grade Homework Assignments
What you can expect:
Homework will be sent home nightly, Mon.-Thurs. There will be no
homework given over the weekend except for special assignments; whereby,
students will have the week plus the weekend to complete their project.
Project assignments will be given two weeks before they are due.
Your child will have a "Homework Folder." Inside the folder is a homework
chart. This chart keeps track of the homework assignments that have been
turned in and the dates of upcoming assignments. At the end of each month,
students whose monthly homework chart is complete, will receive a special
sweet treat from me as a reward for his/her terrific work habits.
To keep you abreast of the week's assignments, there is a weekly assignment
sheet on the back of the folder. Parents are encouraged to work with their
child and initial in the designated box when the assignment is completed.
The homework sheet will stay with the folder until all assignments are
completed.
Homework is one of the best ways to continue your child's education
beyond school hours. I look forward to being a partner in your child's
education for the next 180 days!
