December 9, 2009

Dear Parents,
On December 18th the fourth grade team will have its Holiday mug
exchange. If you’re in need of assistance, please contact me.
We visit the gift shop on the 9th.
AR Reading: There are a number of students that already reached their
goal! Please make sure your child is filling out the green log. It will be
collected every Friday. I am so proud of all my readers!
Math: Chapter 19 test was given today. If your child receives less than
80% on the test, they will have to re-take the test. This will be standard
for all math tests. Please follow along with your child’s math class by
logging onto www.ehartcourtschool.com. This site offers additional practice
problems that support our curriculum.
VMATH and Ticket to Read use the same User ID and Password. Please have your
child log on three (3) times per week for both programs.
Writing: We are currently writing Narrative stories.
Spelling Packets: We will NOT have a Spelling packet for next week. We
will continue with our weekly packets after winter break.
Folders: Please make sure to empty and sign weekly work folders. Make sure
to review & sign all returned tests. Return the tests in the folder. Please
sign week 6
Agendas: Please make sure to sign, and check your child’s Agenda nightly
for notes & homework.
Thank you,
Craft Items: Please send in the sign up form for our craft items as soon as
possible. I will need to know by Friday if you are able to send in the
highlighted item. If not then I need to make my shopping list for this
weekend. Thanks so much for your support.
Polar Express Event: We will be watching the movie the Polar Express on
Friday afternoon Dec. 18th. Your child may bring their pajamas, slippers
and/or a robe to school on that day. We will change into our “comfy” clothes
while watching the movie. Please make sure they wear appropriate clothes to
school, they will be changing back into regular clothes for going to Specials
and home. We will be comfortably enjoying our cocoa and movie. Please feel
free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Miller
