Cory Williams has been a teacher for eleven years in Sarasota County,
Florida, but was originally raised in Findlay, Ohio.
He received his Bachelors Degree in English Education from Wright State
University in Dayton, Ohio, and received his Masters Degree
in Educational Leadership from Walden University. He is certified to teach
English (grades six through twelve,) social studies (grades five through
nine,) elementary education (grades kindergarten through six.) He has a
Gifted Education endorsement as well as Educational Leadership endorsement.
Mr. Williams was Brookside Middle School's 2003-2004 Teacher-of-the-Year,
where he taught sixth grade language arts on the Academy of Technology team.
He has been team leader, Language Arts Department Chair, Editor of the
school-wide newspaper, THE CUDA NEWS, and the Student Council Advisor.
Moreover, he serves on the LNS School Advisory Committee (SAC) as a
middle school teacher representative, and is an LNS school representative for
the teacher's union. For the 2008-2009 school year, he served as the Laurel
Nokomis School Data Coach, and he has facilitated several technology
trainings at the school and district levels.
He served in the United State Air Force before entering the teaching
profession. He has TWO Honorable Discharges from the military. (One
honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force [active duty] and another from
the Ohio Air National Guard.)
Finally, he is elated and honored to be teaching social studies this year
at Laurel Nokomis School.

classes.
