About The Teacher

My name is Amy Harvey. I am a graduate of Florida State University. I am 
certified by the State of Florida in Elementary Education K-6, Mathematics 
grades 5-9,and Business Education grades 6-12. I am currently working on my 
Master's in Educational Leadership.

I have been married for 13 years and have two children. Ryan is ten years 
old and is in the 5th grade at LHES. Alec is eight years old and is in the 
3rd grade at LHES. When I am not in the classroom I 
enjoy spending time with my family, watching my boys play little league 
baseball and reading.

I am looking forward to this school year, and I am excited about all the 
learning and growing that we will do as a group. As a teacher, my goal is to 
help every student realize their complete potential, their one of a kind 
talents and the ability to make responsible choices. I will work hard 
everyday to instill in my students the importance of education, but I 
believe that parent involvement is a critical component of the learning 
process. I hope you find our class website to be a valuable tool to stay 
informed about what is going on in our classroom. Please feel free to 
contact me at any time. Working together we can make sure that your child 
has a very successful 3rd grade year.
