| | The Florida Bright Scholarship program is Florida’s largest merit-based
college scholarship program. Scholarships are based on high school academic
achievement, SAT/ACT tests scores, and required high school courses.
I meet with each 8th grade class to discuss the Florida Bright Scholarship
program along with other college scholarship programs. It is important for
children to understand they must take specific high school classes and
strive to do their best starting freshman year of high school. Students
receive brochures from me to take home for their parents to read. Planning
early for college is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.
