Dear Parents/Guardians,
It is with pleasure that we welcome you and your child to kindergarten.
Cooperatively we can provide an educational environment which will enhance
the learning experience planned this year.
We want your child to have a successful year, therefore, listed below are
some helpful reminders and schedules:
*Spanish class on Mondays with Mrs. Cusmano
*P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday mornings with Ms.Blount or Coach
Green. Your child does not change into a special uniform. They take P.E. in
their school uniform.
*The students will have Music with Ms. Ford on Monday and Wednesday
mornings.
*Flag Ceremony is held on Wednesday mornings in front of the school
with the entire student body.
*We have church visitations on Thursdays at Most Holy Redeemer
Church. We attend "All School Masses" with our 8th Grade Guardian Angels.
*Friday will be Library day with Mrs. Anderson. When books
are checked out on Friday, they must be returned by the following Thursday
to our classrooms. The class with 100% book returns gets a special banner at
Flag Ceremony. We would love to get that banner every week.
*Please label your child’s belongings including: the uniform, shoes,
sweaters, lunch box, and lunch tickets (with KA or KB on back of the lunch
tickets)
*Your child’s nap towel will go home on Fridays for cleaning and must
be returned clean on Monday.
*Folders and planners are sent home every day and must be returned
the following school day. Please review the conduct mark stamped in the
planner with your child and sign the planner daily. Please help us by moving
the clear bookmark from Fridays to Mondays. :)
*Each student was assigned a class number that is written on the
planner and folder. Please use your child's class number throughout the year
to find your child's snack and share day. We will not post your child's name
on the website, only the class number.
*Snacks-Please send 18 healthy snacks (preferably all the same)on
your snack day.(see snack calendar on website) Juice is needed only on early
dismissal days. The Snack calendar will start on August 25.
*Share Day-We will begin the Monday after Labor Day, September 8th. Your
child may bring an item to share with the class on his/her share day. Please
send the item in a plastic bag.
Have your child practice telling about the share item before coming to
class. Please see the share calendar on the website.
