Each student has a pocket in which a frog (KA) / train (KB) is kept on a classroom chart. These cards will help make students aware of their behavior. The cards represent the following: KA Happy Frog-Super Citizen! Uh-Oh Frog-Improve behavior Sad Frog-Time Out! Beyond Sad Frog- Conference KB Engine-Super Citizen! Ice Box Car-Improve behavior Oil Box Car-Time Out! Caboose-Conference We will keep track of each student's frog/train and at the end of the day you will get a daily report in the planner sent home every afternoon. Use this planner as correspondence. Please sign it daily. If your child stays on "Happy Frog"/ "Engine" all day, they will receive a stamp for that day in the planner. If there is no stamp, the number(s) of the rule(s) that was/were broken will be listed. The class rules are posted in the clear pocket in front of the planner. Please speak to your child about his/her actions. When your child has earned 10 stamps they will be recognized and rewarded with something from the "Treasure Chest". Your child will also receive blue "good time" tickets (tickets need to stay at school) for positive actions. When 15 tickets have been received in the two week period, we will watch an educational movie. Your support and encouragement at home will be of great benefit to your child's progress in this area. We are looking forward to a successful year. Please fell free to contact us about any concerns. No concern is too small for a kindergarten student.
