Computer Class News Flash

Oh my – the season of Advent is upon us! Preparing ourselves for the coming of our Savior is the focus we try to instill in ourselves, our children and our students.

In 1st and 2nd grades the students are practicing their word processing skills through various activities such as typing spelling words and making sentences. I also have used the interactive Smartboard for the students to use to reinforce some of the lessons that they learn in class such as the continents.

The 3rd graders did a great job on their state PowerPoint projects and we are now going to just do a fun classroom activity to reinforce typing until we come back in January.

In 4th grade the students are working on a PowerPoint on Native Americans and the 5th graders are just beginning their research for a PowerPoint on technology.

The 6th and 7th graders are in the final stages of their recycling projects and we have all learned a lot in the process.

In 8th grade the saint projects were well received by the 2nd graders. Be sure to read the article in the 2nd issue of the Chronicle which will be up on the MHR website before Christmas break. The 8th graders are now beginning their research on the Civil War for a PowerPoint project.

The final typing assignments are coming in as the 2nd quarter winds down to the final weeks.

I will keep all of you in my prayers for a safe and Blessed Christmas season. I pray that God will be with those of you who experienced a loss during this past year and to be with all of us who are struggling through financial difficulties.

God Bless,

Mrs. M. Flach
