About The Teacher

MRS. MCNEW
I have been teaching at MHR for 19 years.  I began teaching in  
Kindergarten and taught 2nd grade for 11 years. Teaching first grade is a 
wonderful opportunity. I previously taught 1st and 3rd grades in Michigan.
I have two children who attended M.H.R.  My oldest, Michael, graduated from  
U.S.F. with a business degree.  My daughter, Bethany, just graduated from 
King High School and will be attending U.S.F.

MRS. ALVAREZ
I am a graduate of M.H.R. and St. Leo University.  I have one daughter, 
Olivia,who will be in first grade.  This year will be my 22nd at MHR with 
experience teaching fourth, second and first grades.  I am excited to return 
to 1A this year.
