About The Teacher
MRS. MCNEW I have been teaching at MHR for 20 years. I began teaching Kindergarten and taught 2nd grade for 11 years. Teaching first grade is a wonderful opportunity. I previously taught 1st and 3rd grades in Michigan. I have two children who attended M.H.R. My oldest, Michael, graduated from U.S.F. with a business degree. My daughter, Bethany, graduated from King High School and is attending U.S.F. MRS. ALVAREZ I am a graduate of M.H.R. and St. Leo University. I have one daughter, Olivia,who will be in second grade. This year will be my 23rd at MHR with experience teaching fourth, second and first grades. I am excited to return to 1A this year.
