About The Teacher
8A- Mrs. Shaheen: I have been teaching at Most Holy Redeemer for 26 years. I have taught second grade, third grade, seventh grade, and I have had an eighth grade homeroom for the past eleven years. My daughter, Sarah, who was 14 months at the time I started teaching at MHR is now 27 years old. Time sure does fly by when you are having fun! I am looking forward to an exciting 2009-2010 school year.

Mission
My first goal is to impart to the student a knowledge of God, the Catholic Church, and to prepare the student to recognize the need for personal service to all types of communities: family, church, and country. My second goal is to prepare the student as a creative and critical thinker with a solid foundation in skills, knowledge, and habits of individual independent study. My third goal is to lead the student to recognize his/her abilities and to accept responsibility in developing these abilities as a life-long learner.
