My wife Joan and I have been married for forty-three years. We have a
daughter,
Damian. We moved to Key West in 1974 and we taught here for five years
before moving to Saudi Arabia in 1979. There we worked with children and
parents from all over the world.

I am originally from upstate New York. I received my bachelor’s degree from
SUNY Oswego and I earned my Master’s Degree at the University of Minnesota,
Minneapolis. I am a Six + One traits writing trainer as well as a trainer in
cooperative learning.

I am certified to teach grades K – 6 as well as Middle School History and
English. I like to think that the combination of travels and experiences,
along with my pursuit of professional development, have provided me with a
unique perspective and a strong set of strategies and techniques that I will
bring to our classroom.

I am a teacher who highly values close communication among teachers, parents,
and students. I will inform you weekly of your child’s progress and send
home packets of your child’s work for you to peruse and discuss. I welcome
phone calls and I love questions! My home phone number is in the book.
