A) give the title of the book, author, illustrator, publishing company and location, and the copyright date.
B) State the Fiction Genre of the book
C) State what you think the author’s main purpose is for writing the book and why you think that.
Part 2. Retelling
A) Describe the main character – personality traits
B) Tell where and when the story takes place and describe the setting
C) Tell what the problem or main story plot is
D) In your own words sequence three important events leading up to the solution of the story.
E) Tell how the characters in the story solve their problem or how the plot comes to a conclusion.
Part3. Opinion
A. Tell what you liked best about the book and why you liked that.
B. Tell why you enjoyed this book or why not
C. Tell whether or not you would recommend this book to others and if so to what age group of students would you recommend it
Remember:
A. When writing a book report use paragraph form
B. Give your report a cover
1. Decorate the cover to reflect the book
2. Put you first and last name at the top of the cover and then put the Title of the Book
C. You may include your own illustrations about the book
It should include:
* "Science Hall of Fame" at the top
* The name of the scientist
* A picture of the scientist
* Birth, and if applicable, death dates
* Nationality
* A summary of the scientist’s views and major accomplishments (one page typed, double-
spaced, using 12 font).
* A quote by the scientist
* A bibliography (See how to write a bibliography in your Writer’s Express textbook)
* Your name and # on the back of your poster.
