About The Teacher
My name is Nikia Brown and I have been teaching in the Miami-Dade County Public School System for now going on five years. I have a BA in English (FAU)and a Master's Degree in Reading (GCU). English and Reading are both an area in which I enjoy teaching . I have a passion in teaching in which I t engage and enhance students' abilities of understanding and appreciating the different eras of literature. Not only have I taught both English and Reading but I also have taught Debate, Journalism and Creative Writing. As a parent as well as teacher, I feel that Reading should be done not only in school but also at home. With my passion and abilities this will no doubt be another successful year.

My purpose is to express my desire to teach, motivation of pushing the kids to love to write ,debate and encouragement of building self esteem by being that role model the students need , by allowing them to have a choice and by showing the kids they can do it and to have the students look at reading at a different prospective, have the students respect each other, have the students love learning in a whole and obtain 100% of knowledge.
