Dear Parents:
In order to help provide my students with an excellent educational climate, all students are expected to behave in an acceptable manner. I believe that success in life depends on self-discipline and responsibility. In our classroom we will have a plan to encourage this.
SCHOOL RULES:
1. Be in your seat and ready to begin when the bell rings at 8:30a.m.
2. Remain in your assigned seat unless authorized to do otherwise.
3. Do not use profane, abusive, or derogatory language.
4. Follow directions the first time they are given.
5. Keep your body parts and belongings to yourself.
6. Show respect and common decency at all times.
7. Remain silent while any instructional activity is taking place.
8. Do not chew gum on school property.
9. Follow the school uniform policy and dress codes.
10. Follow the rules of a straight line:
a. look forward
b. keep lips closed
c. keep hands beside hips
For all of our actions there are reactions. For positive reactions (rewards) your child
will receive praise, notes, free time and other extra privileges. Negative reactions
(consequences) will occur in steps for individual students on a given day.
Be aware that as rules are broken and consequences are given the conduct grade is lowered as follows:
1. Warning - A
2. Notice of Misconduct - B
3. Phone call - C
4. Conference - D
5. Referral to counselor - F
6. Referral to Administrator/SCM - F
Since we are a team working together to help your child achieve success, I would
appreciate it if you would review this plan with your child. All members of our class benefit from a classroom ready to learn and do their best at all times!
