Welcome to an exciting and educational school year at Miami Lakes K-8 Center!

I want this to be a memorable year for your child, one filled with learning and fun. With your partnership, I know we can provide him or her with a wonderful educational experience. Your child will be changing classes this year I will be your child's Language Arts & Reading teacher and Ms. Medina will be teaching your child Math, Science, and Social Studies. I love what I do and feel blessed to have this as my chosen profession. I look forward to working with your child over the next few months and helping them succeed in school.

I encourage you to please contact me with any questions or concerns throughout the school year. I know how busy we can get so please feel free to e-mail me. Remember, not only am I here for your child, but also for you. Communication is the key factor to a successful parent-teacher relationship. Please visit our class website often to see what is happening in our classroom. It is updated weekly with plenty of information, upcoming events, news, weekly spelling and vocabulary words, homelearning, etc. at http://mles.dadeschools.net- staff - fourth grade or www.teacherweb.com/Fl/MiamiLakesK-8Center/MrsGPineda. As part of motivational activities I will provide the children with treats for example cookies, candy, etc. If your child has any allergies please let me know immediately.
