B.E.E. Notebook

Bring Everything Everyday

  B.E.E. is an acronym for Bring Everything Everyday. This binder is like your child’s briefcase. The B.E.E. binder is intended to help students stay organized. It contains everything needed to bring to school and take home daily. The binder and inside materials will be provided for your child it's their responsibility to take care of it. If the binder or materials are lost or damaged they will be responsible for paying a $6.00 fee to replace it.

A B.E.E. book is a 3-ring binder notebook 
that holds everything the students 
and parents need to keep updated on 
classroom and school events! 
No more wrinkled papers in the bottom of backpacks! 
No more lost school notes, lost homework, 
lost classroom notes. 
No more missing lunch/book club money! 
No more looking all over the house to find 
paper to write the teacher a note! 
Everything a student and parent needs is in one notebook!

This notebook helps students to establish good organizational 
skills as well as teach them responsibility.

Sections and How To Use Them

Zippered Pouch

This pouch is to transfer money back and forth to school, such as lunch money, checks for book orders, pictures, field trip money, etc.

AGENDA = Parent/Teacher
Communication

This section will be for daily homework keeping & notes between you and me.  Please leave any notes that you may write in this section so that we can look back and remember any communications we may have had.

Tab 1 =

Classroom Basics

This section will include information about
Classroom Standards and Expectations, Classroom Procedures and our daily schedule.  This section will also have details about the B.E.E. books. 

Tab 2 = Reading FCAT Task Cards

This will be where a copy of the FCAT Task cards will be for student’s reference during school and at home.

Tab 3 = Reading Strategies & Log

This section includes information about our reading program.  Students will have copies of the strategies necessary to become 
successful readers.  Each student will also
have a copy of their Accelerated Reading goal for the quarter. There will be a log sheet so that students can document their nightly readings (30 minutes daily).

Tab 4 = Writing

This section will include our classroom 
Writer's Workshop Procedures.  Students are aware of the steps necessary to Edit and Publish their favorite story.  A checklist of Proofreading Marks is also included.  Finished work will be stored here.

Tab 5= Weekly Spelling and 
Vocabulary Words

This section will contain the weekly spelling and vocabulary homework assigned. Homework will be collected for a grade daily. Students are expected to practice these words weekly.  Spelling & Vocabulary tests are given on Friday.

Red Pocket Folder =
Read Me, Sign Me, 
Send Me Back

This section will contain notes from the school, teacher notes, and any other important information that needs to be taken home, signed and returned.

Green Pocket Folder =
Homework Handouts

This is where homework handouts will be stored for safekeeping and organization.

  Yellow Pocket Folder =

  Papers to Keep at Home

This section will contain any school newsletter, handouts, or completed work that is to stay at home.
