Boosterthon Fun Run is coming!!! This is a wonderful fund raiser for the school. 10% of money raised in the classroom will come back to the classroom teacher to be used this school year!!!
Donations: Donations of copy paper would be greatly appreciated.
Reading: This week week we will continue our literature study of "Because of Winn Dixie". Additionally, we will start Theme 5 in our Reading books "Yunmi and Halmoni's Trip"
Math: This week we are beginning data analysis. This should be a rather easy skill for the students to pick up as we have worked on it through Problem of the Day since December.
Skills: Our spelling words and vocab words for the week reflect states. This ties into our writing.
Writing: We will begin state reports this week. On Friday the students chose a state which we will begin researching this week and drafting our report.
Science: We are working on our health unit about taking care of the environment. On Friday April 20th, the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle project was sent home. This will count as a test grade. There will be an open book test on this unit this week as well.
