QUARTER FOUR ASSIGNMENTS

 

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR GROUP PROJECTS

The Catcher in the Rye

 

YOU BE THE SHRINK  DUE 4/17,18

Type your diagnostic report and attach copies of any research that you used as an Addendum.  On the Addendum, highlight all parts of the research that was used in the completion of your diagnostic report.

 

I.                    Cover Sheet

  • Develop a business name for your group practice
  • Design a logo for your group practice
  • List all Doctors (group members) 

 

II.                 Patient Information

  • Include name, gender, age, residency (city, state)
  • List any traumatic events experienced by the patient

 

III.               Diagnosis

  • List the diagnosis/diagnoses for your patient
  • List all symptoms that support your diagnosis/diagnoses
  • Provide evidence that the patient exhibits the symptoms (such evidence will come directly from the novel and will include parenthetical citations)

 

IV.              Treatment

  • List the course of treatment, including any medication that will help the patient recover

 

V.                 Addendum

  • Attach copies of any research used
  • Highlight all parts of the research that was used in the completion of your diagnostic report

 

VI.              Optional

  • You may use a PowerPoint presentation
  • Use version 2003 or earlier
  • The entire presentation may not take longer than 5 minutes.
  • You do not have to use this option in order to receive an “A”

 

 

 

MOVIE SOUNDTRACK PROJECT DUE 4/24,25

Type your movie soundtrack project in the following manner:

 

 

I.                    Cover Sheet

  • Develop a business name for your movie soundtrack company
  • Design a logo for your movie soundtrack company
  • List all business partners (group members)

  

II.                 Choose 5 songs that would be appropriate for the movie

  • Include artist, title of song, title of album, and year of release
  • Type the lyrics for each song

 

III.               Scene from novel/movie

  • Identify the scene of the novel that you want to associate with each song, include chapter and page number(s) in parenthetical citation form
  • Type a synopsis of each scene
  • Use bullet format (like this outline is using) to explain why the song is appropriate for the scene

 

IV.              CD

  • Burn the 5 songs onto a CD in the order that you would have them appear in the movie
  • Use a Sharpie to write your Business Name and your class period on the CD

  

V.                 Optional

  • You may use a PowerPoint presentation
  • Use version 2003 or earlier
  • The entire presentation may not take longer than 6 minutes.
  • You may use parts of each song or you may use one song in its entirety.
  • You do not have to use this option in order to receive an “A”

 

MARCH 26, 27

 If you missed class today, you need to do the following in order to receive your attendance points:

Type a 3/4 page personal response to J. D. Salinger's novel The Catcher in the Rye.  Your personal response may discuss any aspect(s) of the novel that you wish, but you must make specific references to situations in the novel.
