I was raised just outside the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. I have
been living in Florida since 1995. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in
Literature from Florida State University and a Master's Degree in Literature
from the University of South Florida. I taught writing at the latter school
for two years. This is my sixth year at Pendleton. In addition, I
teach writing at Manatee Community College. Even though I no longer have
any spare time, I try to watch football and basketball, play video games,
read contemporary novels, work out, and hang out with my four dogs.
My mission for all of my classes is to teach students to become
active and effective readers and writers.
