How are quarter grades calculated? In Academic Reading 2, Integrated Studies and Psychology a "total points" method is used for all graded work. This will count as 80% of the student's grade. The additional 20% will be based on daily attendance and participation. Can homework be submitted late? Long range assignments will be accepted late, but 10% will be deducted for each day of lateness. Short, daily homeworks may be submitted late for 50% credit, if submitted within 1 day of the class when the homework was due. When is Mrs. Mayberry's directed learning? Directed learning with Mrs. Mayberry is Tuesday evening, from 6:30 - 8:30 in Room 104. What is the penalty for an unexcused absence? A student who has an unexcused absence, (a class cut), will receive a 0 for any work done in class that day. If no in-class work was graded on the day of the unexcused absence, the student will have 10 points deducted from the next major assignment. |
