Mission For The Class

Semester one of Biology I begins with emphasis on the tools necessary for the
development of biology, including the importance of the microscope, its
history and use. Every student will become familiar with the techniques
needed to study organisms microscopically and grossly in the laboratory. As
we study chemistry, the cell and multicellular organisms, observation of
local plant and animal species will be used to enhance the curriculum.
We will use the textbook supplemented with class lecture and laboratory
activities.
