About The Teacher

It is my ninth year teaching at the Pendleton School. Before Pendleton, I taught 
English at high schools and colleges in France, Mexico, and Scotland. 

I hold an M.A. in Linguistics and TESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other
Languages)from The University of South Florida, Tampa.  My undergraduate
studies include a B.A. from the University of Vermont and an RSA/CELTA
(Cambridge Certificate of English Language Teaching).

Mission For The Class

Our primary goal is to develop both your fluency and accuracy in English, 
which will include reading, writing, listening, speaking, 
vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. We will also focus on 
developing our reading strategies, critical thinking, active learning, and 
technology skills.  

As we have a unique environment with students from many different countries,
we look forward to hearing your perspective on the current world issues which
we will be studying and discussing this year.
