##### RULES ##### MRS.MARTIN ##### YEAR 2007/2008

Students are expected to show seriousness of purpose in work and 
attitude.
Remember thirty ( 30 ) participation points can be acquired each 
class for exhibiting such a behavior.

This involves :

- Being punctual  ( read page 9 in the student' s planner- 10 points 
  for tardiness will be taken out of the 30 participation points 
  given every class ). 

- Homework completed on time or assignments handed in on due date 
   ( 10 points will be lost if not done ). 

- Any missed homework or assignment will need to be made up during 
  the directed learning hours of the SAME day. 

- Developing a positive attitude in class by participating in the 
  oral activities.

- Doing one's best in the written activities.

- Having the required books - planner included. 

- Having the required materials such as highlighters.

- Being diligent in writing down the homework in the planner.

 
- Showing a respectful attitude towards teacher and peers.
   (  read page 2 in your planner ). 

- Not bringing food or beverages ( a water fountain will be 
  available in the classroom. 
 
- Respecting the dress code ( read page 3 in the student' s 
  planner ).

- Submitting the leave of absence form to the teacher prior to 
  leaving for tournament ( read planner pages 9 and 10 ) . 

- Making up for any missed work within the number of days 
   determined by the teacher .( one day for each excused absence )

- Following the rules established in the IMG and PENDLETON 
  handbooks.( PLANNER PAGE 8 )

* MOST IMPORTANTLY, RESPECTING THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE POLICY OF   
  ACADEMIC HONESTY ( READ PLANNER PAGE 8 ) 

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE-MENTIONED RULES WILL RESULT IN THE 
DEDUCTION OF POINTS FROM THE QUARTERLY PARTICIPATION GRADE WHICH 
COUNTS FOR 20% OF YOUR FINAL GRADE .
