Course description
Spanish II is an introduction to Spanish. Students will develop basic
listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in Spanish, while exploring
the rich cultural heritage of the Hispanic world.
Course Objectives
This section outlines all the skills that you will acquire in this course.
Through the study of Spanish vocabulary, grammar, and Hispanic culture, you
will develop writing, reading, listening and speaking skills that will also
benefit your studies in other disciplines.
General Policies
In order to maintain an optimal learning environment for all students, it is
important that you show respect for the teacher, the other students and
yourself. The guidelines given in both the IMG and Pendleton handbooks will
be followed at all times. It is especially important to be on time and
prepared for every class. Please bring your laptop, workbook and school
supplies to each class.
Keeping current in your assignments is crucial. Notify me in advance of your
absence and we will work to complete your assignments before you depart. You
should date your skills checklist as information is presented in class and
use it during tutorial time to learn any information that was missed.
You are to monitor your own progress and arrange for additional help or
enrichment activities as needed.
Grading Policies
20% Pendleton Participation (points awarded for attitude and readiness to
