Bienvenidos a la clase de español.

This year you will be learning new skills in Spanish. Through the study of 
Spanish vocabulary and grammar and Hispanic culture, you are developing 
writing, reading, listening and speaking skills that will also benefit your 
studies in other disciplines.


In order to maintain an optimal learning environment for all students, it is 
important that you show respect for the teacher, the other students and 
yourself. The guidelines given in both the IMG and Pendleton handbooks will 
be followed at all times. It is especially important to be on time and 
prepared for every class. Please bring your laptop, workbook and school 
supplies to each class.
 

Keeping current in your assignments is crucial. Notify me in advance of your 
absence and we will work to complete your assignments before you depart. You 
should date your skills checklist as information is presented in class and 
use it during tutorial time to learn any information that was missed.
 

You are to monitor your own progress and arrange for additional help or 
enrichment activities as needed.


                                Grading

20% Pendleton participation (points awarded for attitude and readiness to 
learn)
80% Class work, homework, workbook, grammar book, quizzes, and exam.
