Course Description:
Environmental Science
The goal of the Environmental Science course is to provide students with an
understanding of the physical and biological processes affecting the
environment, and to examine and analyze both natural and human-made
environmental problems, evaluate the potential risks associated with these
problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving or preventing
these problems. Topics such as energy use and alternative energy generation,
natural resource management, recycling, pollution, ecosystems, and
population dynamics will be studied. This course will include laboratory and
field activities.
