Class Expectations
Mrs. Schwabl's classes
* Your participation grade will be 20% of your final average To receive
all participaction points you must:
1. Behave properly (courteous to academic coach and other students)
2. Attend class & be prompt
3. Answer questions voluntarily (participate)
4. Be prepared for class (all supplies)
5. Attend class in full uniform:
Pendleton shirt...TUCKED IN
Shorts or pants with a belt. (Plain colored)
Sweater or jacket MUST have a Pendleton logo
* You will lose participation points for the following reasons:
1. No homework
2. Late for class
3. Chewing gum during class
4. Misbehaving/talking out of turn in class
5. Copying or cheating..Keep in mind that you and your parents
signed a contract about any cheating.
6. Being rude to teacher or other students
7. Being out of uniform.
* The following supplies are needed in class every day:
Notebook/binder
Pencil/pen
Planner
Highlighter
Textbook
Colored pencils
Scissors
* When you have a project due, a written explanation and due date will be
provided in advance. You will usually have 1-2 weeks to work on a project.
Projects are due on or before the due date.
* If you need to arrange to take a test early,
it must be for a good reason: a tournament or an approved absence.
* When I am speaking, listen. When another student is speaking, listen.
Raise your hand when you want to be recognized. Be cooperative with your
classmates.
* Class is over when I dismiss you.
* You will have homework after most of your classes. If you fail to do it
you will lose a participation point. All homework handed in a late will
receive half credit for the first day, which means 50 % for the assignment.
* Your grading process for each quarter will include:
Daily assignments/homework 10%
Participation 20&
Quizzes (written and oral) 15%
Projects 15%
Tests 25%
Classwork 10%
Maps 5%
Total 100%

90 100 A
80 89 B
70 79 C
65 69 D
Below 65 F
You will be evaluated on oral and written quizzes, ,projects and tests. I
expect excellent work from all of you. Directed Learning Monday Evening
6:30 - 8:30.
Individualy tutoring is available by request from you and your parents.
Our goal is to have a successful year together. We will work hard to expand
our knowledge....and have some fun along the way!
