Dear Parents,

It’s now time to begin working on the FCAT EXPLORER tutoring program that’s offered free from the state. This is a high quality web based program designed by the Florida Department of Education to help fifth grade students prepare for the FCAT. Students will encounter problems that are very similar to what they will find on the actual test. MATH STATION, the program your child will be working in, features guided learning, which reinforces and improves students’ skills. Students receive immediate instructional feedback. I will also monitor each student’s progress, so I can see any problems students may be encountering, thus reinforcing skills in class as well.

To get access into the program, just type www.fcatexplorer.com or find it on the links page of my web site. When the page appears, your student will be asked to sign in using their information. (This information is also stapled in agenda book)

Listed below are the due dates for each section of MATH STATION. Students are allowed to work ahead if they would like. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for your support!!
