Dear Richmond Heights' Families,

I wish you the best of the holiday season!

Here is the midterm examination schedule. The test is divided into two
parts: essay and objective. The essay will be a five-paragraph expository
composition in which the students write to explain where they would like to
go on a field trip if they could go anywhere. They have this in their notes.
The objective portion is all multiple choice, and I will add the Interim
Assessment Progress Test score to their exam. Both of these tests, essay and
objective, make up ten percent of the year's grade.

Classes meet as usual, but classes have tests on certain days.
Essay Exams:
Period 4: 01/07
Period 5: 01/08
Periods 2,6: 01/11
Periods 3,1: 01/12
Objective Exams:
Period 2: 01/13
Period 3: 01/14
Periods 6,4: 01/15
Periods 1,5: 01/19

Please remember there IS home learning every night. Please ask your child
to see his or her agenda book. It will be written in there or on paper. I
stamp these every time a student writes down the home learning.

Your child should be working on FCATExplorer.com and finding books for
Book Report. He or she must also make the Accelerated Reader goal EVERY NINE
WEEKS.

Please remember you can come in for a conference any morning at 7:30-
8:00 a.m. or Wednesday afternoon from 3:45-5:00 p.m. If I am not in my room,
please try the main office. Other than these times, you may schedule a
conference with the guidance counselor. Of course, you may email or call any
time you wish.

Your child should be reading an Accelerated Reader book, so he or she
can make the A.R. goal as indicated on the Reading Contract which you signed.

Please feel free to contact me for any reason
