This page is a work in progress. Over the next several weeks I'll be adding our science topics that we will focus on for this year. We will use a combination of our county's curriculum and AIMS materials. I will also be using some fabulous ideas from the NSTA publications, Picture Perfect Science Lessons by Karen Ansberry and Emily Morgan and More Picture Perfect Science Lessons by Emily Morgan. These two great resources tie in science concepts with favorite children's picture books.


We kicked off our year with a Thinking Like a Scientist unit. We used our observational skills to investigate many common items...including Oreo cookies!


Next, we focused on Earth Science. One of our highlights was to have an in-school field trip from High Tech, High Touch. We got to mine for gems! Earth Science Links
