About The Teacher
Hello, my name is Mrs. Susie Philpot. I have been a teacher in the Diocese of Orlando for twenty-eight years and I look forward to teaching Second Grade this year. Previously, I have taught Kindergarten, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, and Sixth Grade Religion. I have my Master's Degree in Counseling and have worked part-time as a counselor. In addition to teaching in elementary schools, I have taught cooking classes, craft classes, been a camp counselor, and facilitated parenting classes. My husband and I have three children. Our son Kyle is currently in high school. I have two daughters, Rachel is currently in college and Erin is a teacher and coach. I also have one grandson. My hobbies involve scrapbooking and spending time with my children. As a family we enjoy swimming, sports, reading, and camping. I am continually amazed at how quickly my own children grow and truly enjoy each new stage of development. I am a firm believer, "That childhood is a journey, and not a race."
