Science Homework

Wednesday, October 8th:  Bring in your poster tomorrow if you have not yet done so.  There will be a test on Monday on the properties of matter (Chapter 21 of the text). 

Monday, October 6th:  Work on your poster.  Label the front "Physical Changes" and the back "Chemical Changes".  For each side find 6 pictures and 1) identify what change is taking place, and 2) why it is a physical or chemical change.

Tuesday, September 30th:  Finish Directed Reading using pages 578-585 of the text.  This will be checked in class.

Thursday, September 25th:  Study for tomorrow's test.  Use your study guide.  You may add some notes to your measurement booklet and may use it on the test.  No other notes may be used.  I will finish checking binders as well.

Monday, September 22nd:  Finish answering questions from today's lab activity.  There will be a test on Friday (Thursday will be review day).

Note:  We are having problems with this homework site, as it erases the posts.  Please be sure to copy the homework from the board.

Monday, September 15th:  Read sheet on using a Triple Beam Balance.  Rewrite directions (Steps 1 - 9) using your own words. 

Tuesday, September 10th:  Finish the metric conversion worksheet.

Monday, September 9th:  Work on the metric conversion worksheet. 

Friday, September 5th:  Project on "Super Scientists" due on Monday.  Please follow the instruction sheet closely.

Tuesday, September 2nd:  Read pages 26-31 and answer the questions on page 31.  Due Thursday. 

Wednesday, August 27th:  None.

Monday, August 25th:  Study the branches of science.  Quiz tomorrow. 

Thursday, August 21st:  Study the branches of science from the "Super Scientist"  sheet.  There will be a quiz next week.

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008:  Bring in Binder with tab dividers.  Bring in signed papers.  Read yellow sheet on tips to help you study.

Monday, August 18, 2008:   Welcome back to school!  I'm looking forward to the great year we're going to have together!  Your only homework is to bring back the sheets that need to be signed and to bring in a binder with paper and tab dividers.
