_____Spelling: Study the spelling words for their spelling test on
THURSDAY*, November 12th (See attached list) and complete the three spelling
skills handouts. We will have our Spelling Test on Thursday, due to a Native
American Switch.
_____Math: We are starting a unit on Addition Strategies in class. Please
help your child practice these skills by completing the following activities
and handouts.
1. Work Together ‘Find the Sums’- Use the strategies to help find the
sums.
Practice/homework ‘Addition Strategies’– Have your child complete on
their own and then check their work.
2. Family Fun Math Game ‘Color the Sum’ – You (or another family member)
will
need to play this game with your child (see attached directions on
handout.)
____Science Fair Project: DUE November 13
1. Prepare data for display (make graphs, etc.)
2. Create and organize display board- no brand names, no pictures of
child’s face, or child’s name can be displayed on the board.
3. Set up project and practice orally what you did with your project.
4. Add a catchy title and finishing touches to catch people’s attention.
5. Include ALL the steps in your NEAT logbook.
_____Social Studies: See attached guidelines to complete the Native American
Report.
_____Reading: Read for at least 20 minutes 4 times this week. I read on
