It is hard to believe Thanksgiving break is right around the corner.  
Students have been learning about the ‘First Thanksgiving’ and what it means 
to be thankful for everything we have in our lives.  We have made (or will be 
making)  Pilgrim hats, Indian headbands, dream catchers, and turkey glasses.  
Hopefully everything has made it home for you to see.

We are working on place value in math and will continue with this when we 
return from Thanksgiving break.

In reading, all groups finished a guided reading book from the library and 
worked hard to complete their centers.

Our field trip to Florida Studio Theatre was a big success.  Students enjoyed 
watching Rumplestiltskin and were very well behaved throughout the trip.  
All first grade classes held a ‘Native American Rotation’ where students were 
able to choose which Indian tribe they wanted to learn about and then went to 
that class to learn some facts and complete a craft.  Students had a lot of 
fun.

I am very thankful to have such a bright and energetic group of boys and 
girls.  I am also thankful for the help and support I receive from ‘my 
parents’ everyday.
