Announcements

ATTENTION: WE WILL BE HAVING A TIGER DAY SCHEDULE (11:20-2:20) THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF SCHOOL FROM AUGUST 22, 2016 TO SEPTEMBER 2, 2016. YOU WILL GO TO HOMEROOM FROM 7:20-7:50 AND THEN AT 11:20 WE WILL GO TO PERIODS 2, 4, 1 AND 3. 

If you are late to my class or you do not bring your Brinkley textbook or on the iPad, you will have to come to mandatory tutoring in my office. I will also call your guardians if you do not come to class on time or without paper, pens and a Brinkley textbook everyday. 


SAS North Talent Show Auditions are November 2, 2016 from 11:30-2:00 at our campus. 

Quiz on Chapter 1 will be Friday, August 26, 2016. You must read Brinkley Chapter 1 and study all Key Terms/People/Places/Events and complete the Recall and Reflect on page 34. You will have 5 terms/people/places/events and 2 questions from Recall and Reflect.  Your Brinkley textbook is in your student portal. Please start reading Chapter 1 now!

Quiz on Chapter 2 will be Thursday, September 1, 2016. You will have to know the Key Terms/People/Places/Events on page 65 and complete the Recall and Reflect.

Ice Cream Social will take place on September 2, 2016 at 1:30-2:20. You can also sign up for clubs at this time. I sponsor SGA and Rho Kappa (Social Studies Honor Society). If you are interested in Rho Kappa I will need you to bring $10.00 to be a member. I will collect money on September 19, 2016.


If you would like a book to take home, please see me during my office hours. I will be checking out the AMSCO, which is also on-line. I will tell you how to find it on Monday. You can also check out a Brinkley textbook as well. 

Juniors and Seniors: Please see the homework tab for your APUSH summer assignment and APUSH syllabus. Here are the PowerPoint presentations for Unit I. Please download and study for the first week of class. 



Juniors: If you are interested in running for SGA, I will need a two-page, double spaced essay, 12 Font and typed on September 16, 2016.  This essay must include what you plan to do as a President, Vice-President, Secretary or Treasurer. You must have a B average in all high school and college classes. You cannot be late to any classes, and have an A in conduct in high school classes. All juniors will vote on September 23, 2016 in my class. Thank you!

Although I had many students who passed both AP exams this year, I want to congratulate the following students for their success on obtaining a 5. Nevertheless, I am very proud of all students who passed the Government and Macroeconomics exams.
