Announcements

All students who would like to participate in the Toy Drive, we need to have toys brought here by December 6, 2017. We are bringing toys from 3-5 years of age and for both boys and girls. Thank you for helping us out! 
 
If you were on the Ivy-League tour, you will make up your vocabulary quiz on Chapter 9 -AMSCO NEXT WEEK in the morning classes!

You will take the quiz on Chapter 10 on Monday and Tuesday on 11/20 and 11/21. 

ALL MAKE UP QUIZZES WILL BE MADE DURING THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 27-NOVEMBER 30.

VOCABULARY QUIZ ON CHAPTER 12 PATTERSON/CHAPTER 10 AMSCO WILL BE ON NOVEMBER 20 AND 21. PATTERSON OUTLINES WILL ALSO BE DUE ON THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH BEFORE THE QUIZ!

Vocabulary quiz on the Judicial Branch will be Friday, December 1, 2017 (Tiger Day). I will only quiz you on the words from the AMSCO Chapter 12. An outline of Patterson chapter 14 will be due next Friday. You will need to read the chapters on the Bureaucracy, but I will not give you a quiz on that chapter. 

Homework: Read Chapter 10 in the AMSCO and answer the questions on pages 273-276. The assignment is due on Friday 11/17/17.

I will be giving you a Civil Rights/Civil Liberties Project packet today. You will be working in groups of 3 students to present in December. Your presentation dates are from December 7-21, 2017. There are only 9 groups from which to choose. Please get your packet from me on Monday or Tuesday if you are absent on Friday.

Please go to jbwikispaces for ap gov and macro if you would like all of Mr. Burkowski's Power Points for all of the units! My website will be taken down on December 31, 2017. You must use JB's website for PowerPoints until I get a new one in January. 
 

Identify Quiz on Executive Branch  will be 11/20 and 11/21!

Tentative Test Dates for AP Government:

Unit IV test will be December 5 and 6, 2017.

Unit V test will be January 10 and 11, 2018-due to final exams for MDC the last week of December.  

Your Mock AP Government Exam will be January 16 and and 17, 2018.  


Extra Credit: You may watch Marshall, a current movie about Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall. You may also watch LBJ, which is about President L. B. Johnson. You will be required to write a reflection (2-pages in pen not typed). This will be due before December 22, 2017. 



Start studying ASAP. All PP'S and identifies are on my homework tab.
