Next year will be the first year they take FCAT. Students take Common Assessments three times a year. The tests are summative, which means at the end of the year the goal is to show growth. These scores are shown as High Performing, Meets Expectations, and Below Expectations. These tests cover material in Reading, Writing, Math and Science. </span><br /> <br /><span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS;"> Students also take assessments in all subjects throughout the year. These tests are graded on a 10 point or 100 point scale. These tests results are shown with the Grading System: E, V, S, N or U. As part of students daily homework, they are expected to read for 20 minutes and record it on their Reading Log. They should try to do complete their work with as little help as possible. All homework relates to activities students are learning about in school. Homework will be checked, making sure it is completed.
