Practice saying and using these reading words in sentences. The reading and
spelling words go home for the following week every Friday in their agenda.

Write the spelling words in a sentence for the spelling words listed below on
the handwriting paper provided.  You can use more than one spelling word in
each sentence.  I expect to see sentences demonstrating your ability as a
writer who will be entering second grade next year. Due Thursday!    
Spelling test will be on Thursday.

Friday, June 1, 2012			May’s Reading Contract is due today.
I would like each child to bring a large bag from home so that they can take
their belongings home from school next week.  Your child is not allowed to
bring their backpack to school next week. I would also like you to send in a
board game if you have one.  The board game will be sent home next week.

Dear Parents,
	This is our last week for homework.   We are having our End of the Year Party
June 6th!  We will have pizza, drinks, ice cream sundaes, a bucket full of
surprises, and a day full of fun. Your child can wear summer attire. (No
backless shoes or tank tops please)  		
       Early Release and the last day of school will be on June 7th.   Your
child will bring home his/her final report card today.  Your child can wear
their Ellis Eagles t-shirt on June 7th. .
