Reading Skill Practice/Review
Below are websites that we use in class daily. All of these can be accessed and worked on at home if assignments (Study Island) are not completed during school time. Please use FCAT Explorer and Ticket to Read as arediation and extra practice for your child when needed.

Study Island is built from the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards(NGSSS) and Common Core Standards. The Study Island Next Generation Sunshine State Standards Mastery (NGSSS) and FCAT 2.0 Preparation Program helps students practice, review, and reinforce the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) and Common Core Standards. Students are introduced to new topics each week that are covered during Florida Ready Practice Books. The assessments are graded. They can be completed from home and the student has to score an 80% in order to complete the module.

FCAT Explorer is a set of free, Web-based practice programs. The content is built from the Sunshine State Standards that are tested on the FCAT. Students can practice by themselves because the programs give them
corrective feedback and learning guidance.

Ticket to Read® is Voyager's exciting literacy technology component. This Web-based skill-builder invites students to read hundreds of engaging and informative passages and become more fluent, learn more vocabulary words, and comprehend more about the world around them. As they read, they earn tickets for hundreds of virtual prizes to decorate their personal Clubhouses; as they learn phonics skills, they earn tokens which they can trade for virtual toys in their personal Toy Shop.
