The following photos are from the 2011-2012 school year.

Esmee's still life

Kindergarten still life paintings

The children looked at the work of Paul Cezanne and made their own pictures. The still life paintings were colored with crayon and painted with watercolor paints. They were stamped in tempera paint with real fruit because it's fun to try different techniques for applying paint.

Picasso Blues

The students viewed works by Picasso from his blue period. They learned to mix tints and shades of blue. These abstract paintings were glittered.

Spring Rabbits

Children were read the classic 'Peter Rabbit' by Beatrix Potter and then learned to draw a rabbit using ovals. These were colored and painted with water color paint.
