Third Grade Gallery

In Quarter One third graders have been busy with clay.

These clay birds are ready for the kiln.

Contrasting Color Flowers

In a unit about Georgia O'Keeffe, third graders designed large flower images. These were painted with a wet on wet technique using contrasting colors.

Pinch pot birds were painted with watercolors and varnished with acrylic gloss.

Slab houses had details attached using a slip score method.

A careful drawing was made before mixing colors and painting.

Third graders made oil pastel and watercolor images of an animal in a chair. These are surrounded by a border creating unity or holding the theme together.
