Basic Rules:
1. All students should arrive to class on time and enter in an orderly fashion.
2. Detentions must be served within 72 hours or they will double.
3. Bring all necessary materials to class daily.
4. No cell phones, personal stereos, or hats in class.
5. You may not put your head down or go to sleep in this class. If you are sick, let
me know and I will allow you to call home.
6. Use the proper heading on all assignments.
Attendance:
Daily attendance is a critical part of success in this class. The student is responsible for requesting the material missed due to an absence. Make-up work will be given only for excused absences. Any student with 10 or more unexcused absences runs the risk of receiving no credit for the course. (Remember, each absence counts as two, due to block scheduling.)

Tests: Cumulative chapter tests will be administered at the completion of each chapter.
Quizzes: Short quizzes will be given daily, covering the material on the homework.
Notebook: A notebook is required and must be with you in class at all times. It will be graded after each chapter. The notebook must be kept in chronological order. The heading must include the section title and date. Dividers are added to the notebook to separate:
1. Warm Up: a problem will be posted as students enter the classroom.
2. Vocabulary: words are to be defined by section.
3. Notes: as taken during class and while studying at home.
4. Homelearning: graded assignments
**Any student that is having trouble in class should meet with me as soon as possible so that ways to overcome the problem can be discussed.
Classwork and Homelearning: Classwork and homelearning are given daily and must be completed in pencil on loose-leaf paper. Every problem must be attempted; if a problem cannot be completed the problem should be copied and enough space should be left so that it can be worked on in class. No late assignments are accepted for any reason other than a satisfactory absence.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Quinoa
