Changes in Matter

What happens to water when it boils?

·        It evaporates

How can you change a liquid to a solid?

·        Freeze it

What happens when paper burns?

·        Its matter changes

Jill cut an apple into pieces.  What happened to the mass of the apple?

·        It stayed the same

Which form of water has its own shape?

·        Ice

Anna and her mother make vegetable soup.  Tell one way the vegetables change as they are cooked.

·        Size, texture, shape, taste color are all acceptable answers
