Welcome to Our Class

Fourth Graders, Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! I would like to take this time to welcome you to our classroom. I am looking forward to having all of you in my class. I am sure you are just as eager as I am to begin the new school year. This year is going to be an amazing, exciting, interesting, and fun filled year.

I hope that you are just as excited about this school year as I am. We will be learning and participating in many interesting and challenging activities. This will be a very important year for the fourth graders. Just like last year, Reading is an important part of our curriculum. We will be participating in the FCAT Reading with the short and extended responces and I am certain that your child will leave this classroom a successful reader, developing full understanding and comprehension. I have planned exciting and amazing reading topics. That will keep you on your toes. Math will never be left behind. I have challenging activities that you will love. Fourth graders will also be developing writing skills to prepare for this years Writing FCAT Test. We will be working diligently in all of the three subjects, in addition to the science and social studies. Technology will also be incorporated throughout the year. I am certain that you will love coming to school and will want to be a successful student.

It is very important for the teacher and parents to be able to communicate. If you have any concerns, you may contact me through a note in your child’s folder, calling the school, or through our class webpage:

Working together will help our students be successful individuals in their academic careers. We will be able to increase their maximum potential by us working as a team.

I am looking forward to meeting each of you. My goal for this school year is to spark a love and interest for knowledge. I look forward to getting started on our school year and making it a successful one.
