Discovery Quest

Every week the class will be given a question that will allow them to conduct independent research and learn public speaking. Students should prepare to participate once a month. Six names will be drawn randomly each Friday for participation the next week until everyone has had a turn.

I will post a list of questions or research topics on a monthly basis. Students should use books, the Internet, magazines, and newspapers to learn about the topic. When presenting students may use posters, pictures, or any visual aid item. They may also use index cards with an outline of their speech. However, it is very important that they DO NOT read word for word from the cards. The index cards should be used strictly as a guide.
