Mission
"I teach up, not down." My mission is to foster an atmoshpere of academic success that will lead to critical thinking skills for life. My favorite qoute about literature is the following: “Surely, of all the arts literature is the most immediately implicated with life itself. The very medium through which the author shapes the text --- language --- is grounded in the shared lives of human beings. Language is the bloodstream of a common culture, a common history.” --- Louise Robenbatt ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On a personal note, I love reading and art. I have an interest in marine ecology, scuba, and snorkeling. On an artistic note, I am the creator of "Book Jewels". I HAVE BEEN IN PCB AND AT SMS SINCE 2000. This is where I chose to live and teach.
